The 2010 Report of Amnesty International, The State of human rights in the world, contains valuable information to try to develop a comparative map of the most sensitive issues and areas around human rights. In the case of Mexico, noted that the country was arrested and deported more than 60 000 illegal migrants, mainly Central Americans trying to reach the United States. In July 2009, the report cites the National Human Rights Commission estimated that up to 10 000 migrants could have been kidnapped. "The government initiatives have been totally inadequate," said Amnesty and a figure that is overwhelming, it is said that in January 2009, near San Cristobal de las Casas in Chiapas, police shot and killed three and injured illegal immigrants several others during a chase to the car they were riding. Closing the report, had not yet finished with the trial of the officers involved.
The section dedicated to the United States, erecting a champion democracy and human rights could not be more worrisome. Amnesty notes that the period covered by the report 47 people died after being subdued by police Taser discharge. These "incidents", including three unarmed young and involved in minor incidents. Another fact, in the maximum security prison at Tamms (Illinois), dozens of prisoners were held 23 hours a day in solitary confinement for a period of ten years or more. About the death penalty, 52 people were executed.
In Spain, the situation is very different, were presented 230 complaints of torture and ill-treatment by officials responsible for enforcing the law. In February, it was announced by police unions, which in many communities, the police received orders to meet a monthly quota of arrests of illegal immigrants. In December 2008, the High Court ruled that it lacked jurisdiction to investigate cases of disappearances dating from the English Civil War and the early years of the Franco regime, sent, therefore, 114 266 suspected cases of enforced disappearance to 43 tried in the locations where mass graves were found. 13 such court cases classified as "crimes." What followed, after the intervention of Judge Garzon, is well known.
Colombia these days living in a tense second round was in 2009, more than 286 000 displaced. In April of that year, the media made public that the DAS, an organization under direct authority of the president, had been performing for a long time, activities and widespread illegal spying against human rights defenders. The revelation in 2008 that the security forces extra-judicially executed a dozen young men in Soacha, forcing the government to take measures, in 2009, Extrajudicial Executions fell, but did not finish. The civilian population remains the main victims of armed conflict.

The report of 464 pages, draw a picture rather discouraging about the conquest of human rights, accountability and end impunity. Of the so-called first world nations to the poorest and most needy of the world, continues the abuse of power: judicial killing of persecution of human rights defenders, the failure international treaties, the senseless death of thousands and thousands of citizens who lost that status for various reasons (being female, being young, being transgender, migrant status), the map of justice in the world and equitable access to the right remain a chimera.
